aldives TV, managed by Public Service Media (PSM), has signed as the media partner of South Asian Travel Awards (SATA) 2018. The agreement was signed by Deputy Managing Director of PSM Mohamed Mr.Ikram Abdul Latheef and Director, Communications of SATA Mr. Mohamed Shamin Ali at a signing ceremony held at PSM TV Building. Speaking at the press conference which was held after the signing ceremony with the SATA team and their Maldives Partners, Mr. Ikram highlighted Maldives TV was a brand created by PSM to advertise the Maldives as a tourist destination, especially in the international market. Mr. Ikram pledged to make SATA a popular event by utilising all the resources available from Maldives TV and other channels and brands managed by PSM. Mr. Shamin noted SATA is the most prestigious event held for the hospitality sector in the region. He further said the annual nominations increasing from 250 to 500, within a period of 5 years show the popularity of the event in the region. The event was concluded with SATA Team thanking all the sponsors, partners and the media colleagues for their continued support. UAG marketing of Sri Lanka and Asian Geographic has signed up with SATA earlier as Silver Partners. Mookai Hotel from the Maldives, Ramada Colombo from Sri Lanka, The Chancery Pavilion and Udman Hotels & Resorts by Ferns N Petals from India, Hotel Mulberry from Nepal, and Zhiwa Ling Heritage from Bhutan serve as Hospitality Partners of SATA 2018. Travel World Online, Tourism Mail, Yambhu times, Maldives Insider, The Island Chief, MV Hotels Online, Floating Asia and Maldives TV have been appointed as Media Partners. The prestigious South Asian Travel Awards (SATA 2018) will take place in the iconic property, The Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai from 14th - 15th September 2018.
