The ninth iteration of the South Asian Travel Awards convened for its regional alliance gathering at Cinnamon Grand Colombo's City Club House Meeting Room.
The alliance encompasses tourism stakeholders representing six South Asian countries: India, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, and Bangladesh. The meeting provided a platform for participants to exchange ideas, address challenges, and explore strategies for sustainable growth.
Discussions centered on enhancing tourism offerings and fostering stronger regional partnerships. Mr. Suraj Khan, Vice President of SATA, delivered opening remarks. The gathering included prominent industry figures such as the chairperson of Visit Maldives Corporation, leadership from SriLankan Airlines, and representatives from various national tourism and hospitality associations across the region.
The session concluded with closing remarks from Mr. Tuan Saabir Vaffoor and Mr. Sameer Yoonus, who acknowledged participants' contributions and reaffirmed SATA's dedication to promoting excellence and cooperation within South Asian tourism.
