South Asian Travel Awards (SATA) Begins Evaluations in Bengaluru

The South Asian Travel Awards (SATA) has officially commenced its highly anticipated evaluation sessions in Bengaluru, evaluating elite travel and hospitality brands representing South India for the milestone 10th edition of the awards.

The 2026 evaluation tour began its regional roadmap on June 4 in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Following a successful round of rigorous technical audits and panel interviews of Sri Lankan properties, the SATA jury has transitioned to India to assess the competitive pool of nominees from the country’s southern states.

Marking a decade of honoring excellence in regional tourism, the 10th anniversary of SATA highlights the growth, innovation, and leadership defining South Asia’s hospitality industry. Over the course of the evaluation phase, a panel of esteemed industry experts will meticulously review properties across more than 50 diverse categories, ensuring standard-setting performance and operational integrity.

Following the conclusion of regional evaluation sessions across major South Asian hubs, the culminating celebration will move to the archipelago. The ultimate winners of SATA 2026 will be announced during a spectacular Grand Gala event hosted in the Maldives in October 2026.

To balance expert opinions with consumer experiences, online public voting remains an important component of the selection process. Travelers and industry members can cast their verified ballots alongside the ongoing technical jury panels via the official SATA platform.
