The evaluation phase for the South Asian Travel Awards 2025 has moved to Kathmandu, Nepal's capital, following previous assessment rounds in Colombo and Indian cities. Nepali nominees will undergo evaluation through May 23, with the jury subsequently traveling to Paro, Bhutan to continue regional assessments.

SATA distinguishes itself as the only travel award in the region that conducts in-person evaluations across South Asia and does not charge for participation. A diverse international jury panel visits eight cities, enabling nominees to showcase their submissions directly while assessors score submissions highlighting excellence in South Asian hospitality.

The ninth edition of this awards program will take place in Sri Lanka during September 2025.
