The South Asian Travel Awards (SATA) has pushed back its submission cutoff to April 15, 2025, allowing additional time for industry participants. This extension provides more time for hospitality and travel industry leaders across Sri Lanka, Maldives, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, and India to submit their nominations.
Since launching in 2016, SATA has recognized excellence in South Asia's tourism sector. The awards receive backing from 15 international and governmental organizations, including the Nepal Tourism Board, Sri Lanka Association of Inbound Tour Operators, and Bangladesh International Hotel Association.
The 2025 ceremony marks the ninth edition and will be held in Sri Lanka, gathering industry executives and professionals. Previous ceremonies took place at notable venues like Kathmandu's Aloft Hotel (2024), Bangalore's Sheraton Grand (2023), and the Taj Palace in Mumbai (2018).
