The South Asian Travel Awards (SATA) 2026 officially commenced its evaluation process in New Delhi, India, on 15 June 2026. The SATA Jury Panel and evaluation team are conducting comprehensive assessments of the nominees across various categories, recognizing excellence in hospitality and tourism throughout South Asia.
The New Delhi evaluations are scheduled from 15 to 16 June 2026. Following the completion of assessments in India, the SATA team will travel to Kathmandu, Nepal, where evaluations will take place from 18 to 21 June 2026.
This year’s jury panel for India includes Mariyam Noordeen, Founder of Chefs Guild of Maldives; Dr. Mohamed Shareef, Managing Engineer of INSA Pvt Ltd and former Vice Chancellor of Maldives National University; and Mr. Tuan Vaffoor, Vice President, SATA.
The SATA 2026 evaluation tour will cover six South Asian countries—Maldives, Sri Lanka, India, Nepal, Bhutan, and Bangladesh—with jury assessments accounting for 60% of the final score and online public voting contributing the remaining 40%.
